What now?

Feeling a bit lost. I mean, it's good that I finished the novel and all, but it isn't nearly as satisfying the second time around. Okay, it wasn't that satisfying the first time around either. Money does not come out of an unpublished novel, no matter how many months it took to write it. There's that voice in me that thinks I'll win the World Fantasy Award for best novel with this, and of course the louder voice that tells me the whole thing is total drivel and should be burned immediately before it taints everything around it.

So I suppose the next step is revising. Don't have enough distance on this one to revise, so that means going back to the first novel I wrote and rewriting it. Haven't the faintest idea how to do it, but I didn't know how to write a novel either until I'd done it. Just blunder through, as always.

Yes, distance is important when revising. I think a play date for you and Shameless tomorrow will be just the the thing you need.

Love,

I can't wait to read it, K!
